ADC (antibody-drug conjugate)

A class of drugs designed as a targeted therapy for the treatment of people with cancer. They are composed of two parts: an antibody (e.g. Herceptin) linked to a chemotherapy medicine. The aim is that only cancer cells are targeted and that there is less impact on healthy non-cancer cells.
